Jefferson Hospital Aluminum Handrail

Project

This was a very challenging project, all 120’ of the handrail had to be mocked up in place to lay out the holes in order to core drill the 4” holes in the concrete. Adding to the difficulty there was a glycol system installed in the concrete to heat the sidewalk during the winter months to prevent ice buildup. This system is made of a polypropylene line weaved throughout the concrete potentially very close to where the handrail posts were positioned.
